About TEFL International

The TEFL International Organisation

logo-tefl-internationalWe are proud to be accredited to prepare trainees for the TEFL International Certificate in TESOL. TEFL International is a non-profit organization with schools and offices in over 20 countries on five continents and tens of thousands of graduates who have taught all over the world. TEFL International really is an international school with true international recognition.

TEFL International courses are externally validated and moderated by our moderator, Brian Tomlinson. He inspects trainees’ coursework and checks their feedback and satisfaction with the TEFL course. Brian has published over 70 books and articles and delivered over 50 presentations. He is president and founder of International Materials Development Association.

The Board of Academic Advisors includes several internationally recognized experts in the field of English Language Teaching as well as dozens of regional language experts in language teaching and teacher training. Both international and regional members advise TEFL International staff at teacher training centres worldwide.

International board members visit TEFL International regions worldwide. Members participate as keynote speakers at free national teacher training conferences, and workshops sponsored and hosted by TEFL International. They also provide TEFL International with advice on the quality of our training programs in the region they visit; on how our programs can adapt and change with growing trends in teacher training. International board members are not TEFL International moderators, but industry experts that advise TEFL International centers and participate in teacher training initiatives hosted by TEFL International.
